Tennessee

Last week, we drove to Little Rock for Tita Chrissie's wedding. On the way, we stopped in Tennessee to see Lisa and her family. It was a fun (but short) visit. Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures of their son Cody before bedtime. Cody gave Gabi a stuffed bulldog (which we named Zaggy, in honor of Tita Christine's alma mater) and a monkey (which Gabi named Monkey, in the literal way that toddlers do). Gabi loves these new animal friends, and they kept her entertained and happy on the long drive to Arkansas. We were certainly glad to have them with us in the car.

Gabi is so proud of herself!

Lisa and Kevin have Hereford, Angus, and Hereford-Angus cross.
(The cross breeds --a.k.a. black baldies-- are not visible here.)

The friendly sheep came up to meet us.

Gabi liked the sheep so much, she tried to chase them.

but those sheep are a lot faster than she is.

Gabi and Daddy headed up the hill in search of sheep.

Rogersville, TN
We went to a park in Rogersville where Davy Crockett's grandparents are buried.

Gabi loved watching the water run under the bridge.

The cutest picture we've ever seen in a graveyard.

Gabi found a leaf and a stick.
Nature is full of interesting things.

A pretty view from the park.

On the Road Again
Tennessee sure is beautiful this time of year. We hope you enjoyed the pictures. We had to make this a short trip so we could get to Little Rock in time for all the wedding preparations and festivities. We have some great pictures from that to share later.
