Gabi and yet another book...

One of Gabi's favorite treats is blueberry muffins. She loves blueberries, and she loves "cupcakes" -- so what a combination this is! She just can't wait until they are baked...

Yum! Blueberry muffin batter!
(except Gabi calls them cupcakes)

Little Lady

Gabi is quite the little lady. As you have seen, she has quite a predilection for shoes and purses, and she is generally (for her age) dainty and neat when eating (if you don't believe me, you should compare pictures of her and her friends eating cake at their joint birthday party!). I really don't remember being so girly as a kid (or even as an adult!). Here are some other lady-like pictures of our little girl.

Gabi has her first baby doll. Lola named her Ella, but Gabi usually just calls her Baby. Gabi loves to carry around her baby doll and take care of her. She gives Baby Ella lots of hugs, takes her on walks in her doll stroller, feeds her lots of bottles, and then puts her down to sleep. She is very sweet; Gabi will be a good Mama some day.

Gabi is going to be a flower girl! Here is her dress for Tita Christine's wedding next month. (It fits! Yay!) Gabi was fascinated with the flowers and ribbons on it.

We had Ava with us last week. It was so much fun to watch them interact, and the girls seemed so attached to each other. They liked having a friend to play with all day and even called each other by name. (Wow! They are learning all their playgroup friends' names now!)

Here, Gabi found her comb and was using it to brush her hair, but then she exclaimed "brush!" and pretended to brush her teeth instead. She is getting to be so silly these days!

Gabi played with Ava's doll and stroller, too.

Gabi and Ava shared a tea party. They are really developing great pretend-play skills now.

When we went to Kroger the other day, some strange animals were there raising money for the animal rescue place. One of them looked like a little deer or goat, but the lady insisted that it was an unusual kind of sheep. We also saw a rabbit, a pot-belly pig, and a puppy.

Gabi sure does love to play with her new doll!

Trouble

We ought to have named this little girl "Trouble" instead. She certainly finds lots of ways to keep us busy. Last week at church, we had to take Gabi out of the room a couple times (which is unusual--most of the time, she's good). Daddy asked her what was wrong that she was fussing so much, and she pointed inside her mouth and said "Hot! Teeth!" (Sometimes Gabi uses the word "hot" to mean "ouch!") Sure enough, the next day I found two new molars. It is very cute to watch the creative ways she finds to tell us what is going on.

How many toys to you need?

Gabi (and Daddy) took Lola and Lolo to the aquarium.

Can you keep up with me?

Uh-oh! What did you do, Gabriella?

You colored on the wall? Oh, no!

Look! I found Daddy's headphones.
They go on my head like this.

Yuck! She put that hand in her mouth!
