Tennessee

Last week, we drove to Little Rock for Tita Chrissie's wedding. On the way, we stopped in Tennessee to see Lisa and her family. It was a fun (but short) visit. Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures of their son Cody before bedtime. Cody gave Gabi a stuffed bulldog (which we named Zaggy, in honor of Tita Christine's alma mater) and a monkey (which Gabi named Monkey, in the literal way that toddlers do). Gabi loves these new animal friends, and they kept her entertained and happy on the long drive to Arkansas. We were certainly glad to have them with us in the car.

Gabi is so proud of herself!

Lisa and Kevin have Hereford, Angus, and Hereford-Angus cross.
(The cross breeds --a.k.a. black baldies-- are not visible here.)

The friendly sheep came up to meet us.

Gabi liked the sheep so much, she tried to chase them.

Gabi is running after the sheep...
but those sheep are a lot faster than she is.

Gabi and Daddy headed up the hill in search of sheep.

Rogersville, TN
We went to a park in Rogersville where Davy Crockett's grandparents are buried.

Gabi loved watching the water run under the bridge.

The cutest picture we've ever seen in a graveyard.

Gabi found a leaf and a stick.
Nature is full of interesting things.

A pretty view from the park.

On the Road Again
Tennessee sure is beautiful this time of year. We hope you enjoyed the pictures. We had to make this a short trip so we could get to Little Rock in time for all the wedding preparations and festivities. We have some great pictures from that to share later.

Gramma Jane and Grampa

Grampa had a conference in Atlanta, so he got to come visit Gabi on a working vacation. Of course, Gramma Jane came along, too.

Gramma Jane, read me a book!

Time to play with the bead table again...

Gabi never gets tired of this bead table.

Look at all the people I know in this photo album!
Gabi loves looking at pictures.
She is especially fascinated by pictures of herself.

IHM Parish Picnic

Gabi smelling the flowers at our church picnic.

Gabi didn't like the bouncing thing at the picnic.

Gabi loved climbing on the poles at the playground!

Gabi climbed all the way to the top.

Let's climb again, this time with Daddy!

And we'll climb another pole...

And we'll climb with Mommy...

And we'll climb way up high.

Braves, Books, and Buddies

A Braves game with Daddy's coworkers and families.

A family picture at Turner Field.

Ava and Gabi playing peek-a-boo at playgroup.

Our little artist concentrating on her work.
Gabi found paper (well, Daddy's meal tickets), a pen,
and a hard surface (a.k.a. a guitar case) for doodling.

Hmmm... Which book shall I select?

The discriminating reader first refers
to the summary on the back cover.

Now let's skim through to see
if we find anything interesting.

Wow! A cat at playgroup!

And a slide!

And my friend Kira!

And a puppy, too!

What could be better?
Our playgroup rocks.

Gabi likes to make her elephant hop like a rabbit.

Mommy likes testing out her new camera.
Happy birthday, Mommy!
